FOGGY LIGHT DRENCHING THE VAST LANDSCAPE IN BEAUTY

I am sitting
looking out over a vast valley. Staying in a small French village, St Cezaire
about an hour inland from Cannes. It is very hot here so the newspapers are
saying!
A quiet peaceful month letting the body rest after a somewhat hectic two months
sharing Satsang through Germany. I am painting and writing and going for walks
in this wonderful nature. Sleeping down on the bank of the river Siagne, merging
with the sound and observing the qualities of rushing water.
Remembering moments from those wonderful travelling days in Germany and Switzerland:
I am sitting in a high speed train flashing through the perfectly manicured German countryside, passing giant silver windmills. Just before I was standing with soap on my hands trying to find out how to turn on the tap! Yet I am able to write this newsletter on the train because a laptop electric plug is provided at each seat.

I am travelling from Lake Constance in Switzerland, where I have spent the last week at Castle Glarisegg. A group of wonderful people are raising funds to buy a huge castle and seminar centre set on the bank of Lake Constance.

You can bring your life to Truth.
It’s
‘your life’ that is between you and truth
When you give up ‘my life, my story’ then you are Truth.
Pure awareness of what is.
In this first visit to Europe since about 16 years things have opened up in wonderful ways. I have arrived in Wolfenbuttal, near Brunsweig in northern Germany. Staying with Norbart an acupuncture doctor in his beautiful modern house, hosted by Mani a lovely French friend. There has been Satsang over three weeks and soon a Satsang family has grown up.

During this period I travelled to Leipzig a dynamic young city and stayed in a large rambling house with Suzanne and Uwe and their young family. There was a well attended public meeting followed by a powerful weekend.

A public Satsang was held in Dresden and an amazing weekend in the house of Eike. Those from Brunsweig were brought together with some from Leipzig. A video was made by all those present dubbed the ‘Satsang Show’ by our youngest nine years old member Benita.

A weekend intensive near Dresden hosted by Hugo and Anna with their delightful children. Pommriz is an interesting community in the former East Germany set up some ten years ago as an experiment in alternative living.

A second longer visit to Leipzig seeing the Satsang community growing and going deeper. People opening one day and becoming quickly resistant the next! Throwing away the Diamond and yet again embracing the Garbage of “my story.”

The individual sessions, Awakening Now, are the catalyst for many people to have a glimpse of being in their True Nature.
The Rainbow festival in Baden –Baden, an elegant classical town in the South of Germany. This proved to be a celebration of musical and spoken satsang. It was so wonderful to find so many people in their hearts and focused on finding out the Truth. Since arriving being constantly touched at the deep interest people have in Satsang. I have been invited to contribute to the 2004 festival.
If anyone reading this newsletter has some time to spare, I am looking for a travelling companion from the middle of August who can guide me smoothly through the daily array of mystifying modern technology and help me to communicate in German.

……….”by being in the Satsang of a true spiritual teacher – and by a true teacher I mean someone who has realised the Self – you can’t escape ‘seeing’. Being in the presence of a true spiritual teacher is not comfortable; that is why few people stay with such a teacher and why often more people come after he has passed on than when he was alive. So when you stay in the presence of a living Teacher who is able to show you the Truth, it is very uncomfortable. So if there is sufficient honesty and if there is the predestination, Grace, working in your support, then in a matter of time you will realise the Truth.”
